Common Questions

Which ports in Turkey do you cover?
All Turkish ports, from Iskenderun to Istanbul, including Mersin, Aliağa, Izmir, Gemlik, the Gulf of Izmit and Tekirdağ. Tell us the port and the vessel and we will arrange the surveyor.
Do you do on-hire and off-hire surveys in Turkey?
Yes. When a vessel goes on or comes off hire, we measure the bunkers remaining on board and record the condition of the holds, so owners and charterers settle on the same figures.
Can you grade scrap cargo for buyer and seller?
Yes. We determine the quality and quantity of the scrap, grade it (HMS 1, HMS 2, shredded, bonus and others) and certify the result to both buyer and seller.
Who do you work for?
Traders, shipowners, charterers, producers and buyers of the cargo, freight forwarders, and P&I insurers.
Are you independent?
Yes. We have no ties to shipowners, traders or insurers. Our reports reflect what we find, not what any party wants to hear.
How do I request a survey?
Email e.sirtas@i4survey.com with the vessel, the port, the dates and what you need, or use the contact form. You can write in English or Turkish.
